Restaurant Pietro in Waskesiu Lake

This is the best dining experience I've had in Saskatchewan. If you are anywhere near Waskesiu, this is a must visit. Excellent food and atmosphere, coupled with very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Cocktails and wine list were also way above average, and portions were excellent.

The food, the place, the people working there, everything was perfect. We ate like kings and queens. You have To try it at least once.

This is a great place to dine in Waskesiu. Gary, whom I believe the own is an unreal human being and has such a great character.Dining here you can certainly tell that the team is like a family and works hard to provide its guests with a high end experience while in one of Canada’s national parks...On this visit only pastas were ordered as we were just stopping for a quick rest.This restaurant is definitely a 3 course meal destination as all it’s options are lovely and although pasta the past and dessert was tasty my thought is that an added appetizer or salad also would’ve paired well.

Easily the best place in Waskesiu. Front of house is amazing, and being able to see into the kitchen is a special treat. Amazing food, great atmosphere.

I was walking by and could smell the most delicious smells so I stopped to read the menu. I was immediately greeted by the most courteous staff, who had a genuine love of the work, the food and their customers! I had just finished driving for 12 hours, and looked a little disheveled I'm sure, but I was treated like a queen! ❤ The staff made me feel so valued, they gave fantastic suggestions, explained how my meal would be prepared and gave me a beautiful table so I could watch everything as I sat. The salmon, prawns and scallops were amazing, cooked absolutely spot on, buttery soft and flavorful! I would go back in a heartbeat!!

Great fine food dining experience. Classic dishes combined with some creative ones. Lamb is wonderful. All the pastas, divine. Even have Caeser Salad prepared tableside.

Honestly I couldnt believe first thing once we walked in we were greeted by an older gentleman. He was so nice and made me feel like I was in a 5 star restaurant which I give it. Food was amazing, drinks were amazing, service was amazing. Everything just fantastic! Be prepared to spend a little but I would say well worth it :)

Run my a small staff this place makes you feel like you're at home, but with a touch of elegance. Outstanding, fresh, handmade food and attentive service. Restaurant Pietro is not to be missed!

Came here for Grandmother’s birthday and WOW! Welcome greetings/smiles from the moment you approach the door all throughout from the staff. The Owner came to greet us and was very kind offering to buy Grandmother her choice of dessert; a rhubarb Panna cotta. The food is incredible and I was very impressed. Would definitely recommend coming here. They put a special/personalized touch on customer service really going the extra mile.Thank you for making today extra special.😀Will be back again !

Food was excellent, great service

Unreal food. Probably the best steak I’ve ever had, and amazing service. I brought my staff from Sturgeon River Ranch for supper and we were treated as good as any other guests despite us being a bit dusty from riding the trails at Elk Ridge all day. Also the cook had wicked side burns!!! I am very excited to know there is that type of quality in Saskatchewan. A rare find.

Delicious food and the service was 110%!! Two thumbs up from my son who loved the breadsticks!

Very poor portion size for the price. Entrees do not come with a side. Steak was cooked nicely, although the flavour of the dish seemed masked with salt. Service was friendly.

Fantastic service and food! You will not be disappointed if you eat here. Definitely try the tableside caesar salad and homemade pasta!

Beautiful cozy restaurant with a real high end Italian taste. When visiting this restaurant I would suggest you prepare to spend over an hour here the menu is a little pricy but the food is well worth it .

Dinner was fabulous! Chef Evan is a amazing! Staff was very attentive and accommodating with my three kids. What a gem of a restaurant! Refreshing to have a delicious place to dine, in a laid back but upscale location. Calamari fritti was perfection!

I have always said...you get what you pay for! This restaurant is a MUST EXPERIENCE!!!! I want to thank all the Staff..and I mean the entire staff. Everyone there was friendly, accommodating, and above and beyond with customer service. I feel we paid a reasonable price for the high end food and service we received. How many places do you know that can serve a soft, cooked to exact perfection steak? Chef and staff...I cant say enough about just how impressed we are! Hands down the best meal I have ever had! WOW...SEE YOU ALL WHEN WE ARE BACK IN TOWN.

Fresh fish feature was amazing for supper! The lobster pasta and caprese salad were great as well. Service from Gary was spot on and he explained features well. Definitely recommend and I look forward to going back.

Food was good but super pricy for a small portion meal that doesn’t come with sides.

My husband and I shared a wonderful meal together here celebrating our honeymoon. We were treated very, very well by the staff, and the tableside Caesar salad was especially to die for. We will definitely be coming back! 😊

My wife and I have eaten in some of the best restaurants in the world and this place is easily one of them. The staff is first rate and the food is amazing from start time finish. This place is beyond just amazing food. The servers were were friendly and fun, the food is first rate from start to finish, and the atmosphere is perfect. We enjoyed it so much we had to go back a second time! We have decided to come back to Waskesiu again become of this place.
